Holding Her Ground

"Within my chest, two hearts beat. If one stops, the other will fall silent and die." Raida Adon, a Palestinian video artist, actress and painter, carries a heavy personal and historical burden. When she tries to escape it, this burden explodes in her art. She is the only Arab with a solo exhibition at the Israel Museum. Despite her success, Raida struggles to find her place as a Palestinian artist in Israel. Her search for belonging takes her to Paris, where she discovers that the European art world struggles to accept her complex identity. Raida has a suitcases ready wherever she lives, art is her only true home.
