A legendary stolen Inca emerald comes into the possession of a man’s daughter after he fled to the jungles of South America following a hit-and-run accident. The valuable gem causes chaos in a small German town, a situation exacerbated by a friend who was also involved in the traffic accident and turns out to be a jewel thief.
