September 16, 1895 (129 years old) in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan
Yanagi Eijiro ( September 16, 1895 - April 24, 1984 ). In 1966, he received the Medal with Purple Ribbon, and in 1970, he received the Order of the Rising Sun, Fourth Class. His final stage performance was in "Actress" in 1982. He died of acute heart failure on April 24, 1984, at the age of 88
