Eoghan McDermott

Eoghan McDermott is an Irish television and radio presenter, best known internationally as the original narrator of Love Island Australia, the role that brought his voice to audiences well beyond Ireland. Born in Limerick and raised in Dublin, he is a fluent Irish speaker and began his media career on TG4's music show POP4 before taking the lead role of "DJ Pete" in the TG4/BBC Northern Ireland teen drama Seacht. A trained dancer and choreographer who studied at New York's Broadway Dance Center, he has performed alongside artists including Rihanna and the Pussycat Dolls. On radio he hosted XFM's Drivetime in the UK before returning to Ireland, where he presented RTÉ 2fm's Drivetime and later co-hosted its breakfast show. His television credits include co-presenting The Voice of Ireland and hosting Ireland's Junior Eurovision selection shows. He is also a prominent mental-health advocate.
