Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ after his parents immigrated from Ecuador. Growing up a three sport athlete, Omar’s passion for theatre and TV/FIlM came later in life. For the past ten years he has studied under the legendary Terry Schrieber at T. Schrieber Studios and NY's famed Upright Citizens Brigade. Omar was slated to be in the Downtown Urban Arts Festival in “Lester Collins Takes Five” at the Signature Theatre before COVID-19 struck. During this trying time Omar lent his talents in Rolando Chusan’s “The Roundtable” play which was all for charity and raised over $6000 for families devastated by COVID-19. Omar’s favorite credits include Stephen Adly Giurgis' "The Motherfucker With the Hat" as "Jackie" at T. Schrieber Studio. He was part of the Labryinth Theatre Company’s 2019 Intensive which curated the award winning script of “Platformz” by Edison Diaz. During his summers he works to pass on the arts and give voice to inner city kids at The Ironbound Enrichment programs in Newark, NJ. He’s diligently working on his feature film script based on loan officer days from the 2000’s financial crisis titled "American Sons".
