Ron Simon is a veteran Chicago area on-air radio personality, most associated with hard rock and heavy metal shows. Known as "Rockin' Ron Simon" he began his career as host of "Metal Mania" on WRRG-FM in River Grove, IL in the early 1980s. In 1985, Simon joined a new nightly heavy metal radio program called "Real Precious Metal" on WVVX-FM in Highland Park, IL. In 1986, he joined the new Z-Rock network, at it's launch at WZRC-FM in Chicago, and later the same at G-Force 1330 radio in 1989. Most recently, he has been a contributor to the digital radio network D-Rock.
