
Jonty Ross
Jonty Ross was born in Southampton England before his family would move to Perth Australia and then to Limerick Ireland when he was seven. He would start acting at the Limerick School Of Acting under Nigel Mericer and quickly discover he had a love for arts. From there he has acted in professional theatre, commercials, shorts and TV shows, while also making a name for himself as a fast growing director and writer. He has directed over 15 shorts of which he also wrote and produced, most recognisably his short film “Songbird”. He won best pitch for a film script at Fresh Film, has been shortlisted for several funding schemes, and also runs the film group ‘Visionary Films Ireland’. Jonty is also a previous member of the Limerick Youth theatre and currently part of the Emerging Limerick Filmmakers, run by Pete Moles. His skill set outside of Acting and Directing includes Boom Operator, Cinematographer, Gaffer, Runner, Poster Design, Stage manager, Script Supervisor and Stunts. As of 2025, he has 3 wins and 14 nominations.
