Phoebe Jordan Cowley
Phoebe is a London-based writer, actor, and producer. She began her career at 18 on the BFI writing course and went on to write her first short film, Loser Like Larkin, a project she developed over six years. The film premiered at Flickers Rhode Island Film Festival and was a runner-up atLeeds Film Festival, marking her arrival as a filmmaker. She later studied at The New York Film Academy, gaining hands-on She later studied at The New York Film Academy, gaining hands-on experience across every role behind the camera, an education that shaped her collaborative approach and respect for al aspects of production. In November 2024, Phoebe wrote, produced, and starred in her third short film, Holy Baby, which explores postpartum psychosis. The film has recently been selected for the Cannes Short Film Festival and reflects Phoebe’s ongoing commitment to telling stories centred on women's health. Her most recent short is coming out early 2027. It surrounds themes of domestic abuse and modern day slavery. Alongside her film work, Phoebe is an established photographer whose work has appeared in Vogue and Rolling Stone. She has also worked with brands including Armani, Sandro, and Swarovski.
