David Baszucki is a Canadian-born American entrepreneur, engineer, and software developer best known as the co-founder and CEO of Roblox Corporation. He also co-founded Knowledge Revolution, where he and his brother Greg developed the educational software "Interactive Physics". Early Life and Education: Born in Canada on January 20, 1963, and raised in Minnesota. Graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, as a General Motors Scholar. His interest in technology began early, including experimenting with computers and developing model rockets. Career: Knowledge Revolution: Co-founded the company with his brother Greg, developing "Interactive Physics" and later "Working Model". MSC Software: Knowledge Revolution was acquired by MSC Software in 1998. Baszucki became VP and general manager of MSC Software from 2000-2002. Baszucki & Associates: Founded an angel investment firm after leaving MSC Software. Roblox Corporation: Co-founded Roblox in 2004 (initially under the name DynaBlocks) with Erik Cassel. He serves as the CEO and Chairman. Roblox: The platform allows users to create and share their own games, fostering a community where millions play, learn, work, and socialize. Baszucki's vision for Roblox is to build a platform that enables shared experiences among billions of users, often referred to as a metaverse.
