Lennart Jähkel
Carl Gustav Lennart Jähkel, born September 27, 1956 in Piteå in Norrbotten county, is a Swedish actor. Lennart Jähkel was born in Piteå but grew up in Timrå and is the son of Carl Jähkel and Carin. He has German roots on his father's side. Lennart Jähkel studied at the Statens scenskola in Malmö 1979–1982 and has since been involved in various theatres. He is also a film actor and was nominated for a Guldbagge award for his work in Suxxess (2002) and Så som i himmelen (2004). Since 1996, he has been active at the Stockholm City Theater where he has appeared in several plays. Jähkel has also appeared in some computer games and, among other things, does the voice of Mulle in the PC games about Mulle Meck. He has recorded the song Timrå tisdag (also called Brynäsjävlar) under the pseudonym Hank Lennart & and the Sentimental Cowboys, which is about Timrå IK's heyday with, for example, "Lill-Strimma" (Lennart Svedberg). Jähkel has alternately played serious and humorous roles and thus showed breadth as an actor. His more serious roles include the roles in the films The Hunters and As It Is in Heaven. For many, Jähkel is associated with the role of Jan-Olof in the popular TV series C/o Segemyhr, where he played opposite his friend and colleague Johan Ulveson, with whom he also made the cooking show Sjön suger in Kanal 9. His more humorous roles also include the role of Sven -Erik, the oldest of the three Marklund brothers in the TV series Pistvakt.
