Bunga Tanjong

Bunga Tanjong follows Mariam, Wan Katijah and Puteh, three Malay women navigating love, exploitation and social inequality in Singapore during the late 1950s and early 1960s. After escaping an abusive marriage, Mariam becomes a cabaret dancer, encountering rivalry, corruption and hardship. Against Singapore's changing political landscape, the women struggle for independence, education, dignity and happiness.
