Jan van Weyde
Jan van Weyde (born July 6, 1979, in Bonn; birth name: Jan Sluyterman van Langeweyde) is a German actor, comedian, and voice actor. Jan van Weyde grew up in Swisttal-Buschhoven and completed his acting training in various locations—including Chicago—as well as at the Arturo Acting School and the Film Acting School in Cologne. He first gained recognition in the early 2000s as the host of the VIVA television show *Interaktiv*. Van Weyde became known to a broad television audience primarily through his role as Xaver Steindle in the ARD telenovela *Sturm der Liebe* (Storm of Love), a character he portrayed on multiple occasions between 2005 and 2015. Since 2015, he has also been active and successful as a stand-up comedian, performing at venues such as the *RTL Comedy Grand Prix*. From 2017 onwards, he regularly appeared as an opening act for Carolin Kebekus. Since 2018, van Weyde has co-hosted the podcast *Lass hör’n* alongside David Kebekus. Additionally, since 2020, he has been a member of the ensemble for the comedy show *Binge Reloaded* on Amazon Prime Video, and in 2023, he participated in the comedy competition *LOL: Last One Laughing*. Van Weyde lives in Cologne and is married to actress Jasmin Schwiers.
